NYC Bucket List

My time here is limited, and I don’t want to leave feeling like I didn’t take everything away from this experience that I could. I’m constantly saying, “oh, that would be fun” and “we should go here someday,” so I decided to make an actual list of all of the things I want to see and do before I have to leave. It’s very easy to fall into the comfortable trap of sitting in my apartment and watching television, but it’s NEW YORK CITY and I’ve gotta get out there!

  • Museums:
    • MoMA
    • Museum of Sex
    • Guggenheim
    • American Museum of Natural History
    • The Met
    • The Cloisters
    • Museum of the City of New York
    • Ellis Island
    • Lower East Side Tenement Museum
    • P.S. 1 Contemporary Art Center
  • Rent bikes for the day and ride all over
  • Circle Line tour
  • Free yoga etc. @ Bryant Park
  • Zarin Fabrics (because I love RHoNYC)
  • Walk over the Brooklyn Bridge
  • See my grandmother’s old apt. up in Washington Heights (she moved out 10+ years ago, but I still remember it!)
  • Columbia University campus tour
  • Empire State Building
  • Caricatures in Central Park
  • Brooklyn Botanic Garden/NY Botanical Garden
  • Bronx Zoo
  • Governors Island
  • TV Shows! Martha Stewart, Who wants to be Millionaire?, The Daily Show, Colbert Report, Rachel Ray, etc. (Pretty much whatever we can get tickets to/take off of work to attend)
  • NYC Public Scavenger Hunt
  • Kayaking along the Hudson
  • NY Public Library
  • Row boats in Central Park
  • Coney Island

Please note that this list does not include restaurants and other eating establishments. I’m a big foodie, and believe me, I have an entirely separate list for that!
